Style

ROVER R-1 Dan Kubin’s Edition is a wireless tattoo battery pack developed with Dan Kubin for Sidewinder tattoo machines. Its extended 2.5–12 V range gives you precise low-voltage control while maintaining stable power throughout the battery cycle.

The configurable Adaptive NITRO start-up adjusts to the selected voltage, while replaceable Li-ion cells let you swap batteries and continue working without waiting for the pack to recharge.

Dan Kubin compatibility

What’s New

The most remarkable difference with the normal ROVER R-1 is that this model works down to 2.5V for precise works.
The second most important change has been made to the NITRO jumpstart that now it is configurable (on/off), so you can configure it to activate it or not.
The jumpstart now is also Adaptive, which means that it gradually decreases the speed of the jumpstart as the machine voltage decreases. This enhances the startup feel while respecting the motor speed regime.

And best of all! This model is 100% compatible with any tattoo machine that runs from 5 to 12 V. You can use it normally with your pen machines if you like.

Battery duration


You can expect a battery cell duration of around 4 hours with the V46er, and around 3 hours with the V4, V5, and V6.

Pro tip: the type of needle and rubber setup will greatly affect power consumption — choose your setup wisely.
Second tip: to help with the adjustment, you can check the power bar on the display. It shows how much power your ROVER is draining in real time.

Compatibility 

From 4V up to 12V the battery is completely compatible with any tattoo machine with RCA connector.
From 3.9V down to 2.5V the battery has been designed and validated only for DK machines.
Some other machines could also benefit from this extended voltage range (2.5 to 3.9V), but it is not assured (specially brushless machines).

For example, you could use this ROVER with your DK sidewinder at 4.2V with great results, and then switch to your Bishop Wand and use it with full confidence from 5V to 12V
